Ohana means family-and we've found the most adorable members to add to yours!
We've uncovered something truly out of this world here at HSWC-no, not aliens (well, maybe!)-but the secret to Lilo and Stitch-level joy! These diamonds in the rough were lovingly rescued together by our Animal Control officer, and brought here to brighten our days. From the moment they arrived, they've charmed everyone, becoming instant staff and volunteer favorites. Their happy personalities and close-knit bond are a reminder of just how special Ohana can be. Whether they're sneaking into the same kennel space or sharing laughs with new friends, their teamwork and good vibes are downright contagious. We are all in a state of wonderment as to how we got so lucky to have these gems here with us. They are in beautiful condition, well taken care of, and charming personalities. These lovelies can't wait to spend time with each other, and with anyone who wants to share their space.
Please consider adding them to your Ohana. Lilo and Stitch will surely be yours if you open your heart and home to these two gentle sweethearts! They aced all of their tests: Polite, backed away from cats. scared/timid of hissing cats. Stitch may bark warning of danger at unfamiliar dogs. But both walk by other dogs with no reactive behavior.
Easily handled by volunteers and staff. They walk well together and enjoy play yard time with each other. Medium energy walking. They enjoy the outdoors and are very enjoyable to walk together. Neat in their cubical. Beautiful shiny silver-gray coats.
If you're looking to add a little aloha spirit to your life in 2025, look no further. These sweethearts are ready to share their love and laughter with you.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
