These hips don't lie! My name is Miss Shakira and I don't mind sayin I'm a little 6-month-old gem that's ready to find my forever and ever home. I am full of play and I get on well with other cats n kittens. Foster Mum says that I am a gentle loving kitty that will soon be your best friend. I am clever and intuitive and will make a fair but firm Supervisor should you perhaps work from home. If you have to be out at work all day to pay for my churu addiction-- I get it. Please don't stop.. but perhaps consider adopting one of my gorgeous siblings along with me!! Foster Mum tells me they are getting featured today on adoptapet too! Please read section on adopting our tame cats on our website prior to applying.

Home Check

We do this virtually using our cell phones, we also require a vet reference .

3.
Meet the Pet

Once we have spoken to your current or previous veterinarian, we then arrange a meeting /visit.

Take the Pet Home

Our kittens are adopted out through meet and greet events by appointment to approved adopters at our local Boselys st where we have a room for social distancing.Please see our Facebook page for more info .Prospective adopters are interviewed by our volunteers and a brief virtual home visit as well as vet reference check
is always conducted prior to adoption completion .Cost is $300. All kittens are vet checked spay/neutered, given their first vaccinations, and treated for parasites before adoption.

Cats and kittens are sometimes adopted out from their foster homes as space is limited in kitten rooms at Bosley's Mill Bay , and Duncan locations.

More about this rescue

Cowichan Cat Rescue is a federally registered charity, entirely staffed by volunteers and funded by donations, operating a trap, neuter, and return program (TNR) for feral cats in the Cowichan Valley since 1999. We take in all kittens found young enough to socialize, foster them until they spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and then adopt them to indoor homes. We also try to find barn and warehouse homes for feral cats which must be relocated due to loss of habitat or problems with property owners.
