Hi, I'm Elsa. I'm a shy girl and I'm scared at the shelter. I'm looking for someone who is willing to work with me and be patient with me while I learn how to be brave. I love treats, so that's one way to work your way into my heart. I was found running around with other dogs before I came here. I'm a quiet and calm girl in the shelter and like to snuggle up on my bed. I'm hoping someone will come take a chance on me and provide me safety and comfort, and show me that the world isn't as scary as it seems. Come meet me today!

Visit us Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM! All of our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Adoption fee: $45.00.

More about this shelter

The Chickasha Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Chickasha, Oklahoma. In addition to providing a safe environment for our adoptable animals we also are responsible for the enforcement of all animal related laws within the City of Chickasha and holding all stray animals that are located. In addition to these main roles, we also provide public Spay and neuter program with OkHumane, city pet licensing, and other educational services to our community.

We operate daily with a very limited staff supported by several amazing volunteers. We operate an active foster program and are always seeking to work with those in our community interested in assisting us in our mission.
