My name is Penelo!

Penelo's primary caretaker passed away and she is in need of a forever home. She is about to turn 7-years-old and has lived her entire life in the North Idaho/Spokane area. Penelo is a sweet and social dog who enjoys cuddling and playing. She is in need of a home where she has space to remain independent and feel safe. She is a loyal companion and friend who is accustomed to the lifestyle of a lap dog.

Penelo has not had a lot of experience with other animals or small children. She would not do well in a home with cats as she was encouraged to chase various animals (turkeys, squirrels, etc.) from her past owners yard. In general, Penelo has a mild temperament and appears to be readily trainable. She has adapted well to her current foster environment and there have been no accidents or damages. However, due to the sudden loss she has experienced she has displayed anxieties. She crates well for travel and is well behaved around people.
