My name is Maia!

maia ran up to me in my apartment complex parking lot like she'd known me her whole life. after trying to find her people (fb posts, chip scan, calling shelters, etc) and no one came forward i decided to care for her as long as i could. i wanted to be her forever home but she just isn't a good fit for my lifestyle and she deserves a home where she fits.

maia is very high energy as well as a runner and an escape artist (it wouldn't surprise me if she has husky genes) and will need either extensive call back training or to be kept in a secure yard with a tall fence. she is small but is not suited to apartment life unless she is allowed outside to run a few times a day.

she's a lovebug and has never met another living being she didn't immediately decide is her bestie. she is probably too rough a playmate for most cats or small children but she just wants to play. she's one of the smartest dogs i've ever seen and while she quietly vocalizes i don't think i've ever heard her bark.
