Meet Cora! This 2 year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix is on a mission to find her forever home, and she's bringing her sweet, cuddly nature with her! At a super slim 35 lbs she’s working on gaining some much needed weight. But Cora is the perfect size for a snuggle buddy who’s ready to bring joy into your life. While she might be a bit shy at first, Cora is a social butterfly once she gets to know you! She’s friendly with everyone and loves to make new friends—whether they have two legs or four. She’s non-reactive to other dogs. Cora is super curious about the world around her. She walks like a pro on a leash, ready to explore all the sights and smells. Though she’s still working on her basic commands, Cora is treat-motivated, so she’s eager to learn and please. She’s the kind of dog that will win your heart with her kind soul and gentle demeanor. Additional adoption info

Adopters can meet our animals 7 days per week at our Sayreville, NJ facility. All adopters are asked to fill out an adoption application survey to find their perfect match. Surveys can be filled out in person at the shelter, or through our online form. All pets are spayed/neutered and receive age-appropriate vaccinations before going home. Adoption fees are $125 for cats and $250 for dogs.

We are located directly adjacent to the Sayrebrook Animal Hospital. Our hours of operation are:

Mon through Fri - 4:30PM to 7PM
Sat and Sun - 11AM to 4PM

Sammy's Hope Animal Welfare & Adoption Center is privately-operated animal shelter, staffed and supported by volunteers, that helps care for and find Forever Homes for homeless animals. We work with local NJ municipal animal shelters to help alleviate their overcrowding and find homeless pets their Forever Families.
