My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for an older pup? Meet Joyce, 9 years old and 49 pounds, she’s a charming blend of traits that will make you fall in love with her. Her sweet nature is heartwarming, while her bravery is inspiring. Joyce has a goofy side that is sure to bring a smile to your face. She's an independent soul, smart and mellow, yet has a burst of energy that defies her age. Despite her shy demeanor, Joyce has a unique way of asking for affection; she rolls on her back, inviting you to pet her. Adopting Joyce means welcoming a companion who will bring joy, laughter, and a touch of wisdom into your life.

Joyce is spayed and fully vaccinated. Fosters say she is very gentle and obedient. She is house, leash and crate trained. She adores kids of all ages and sizes. However, she should be the only dog in your household as she doesn’t get along so well with other dogs.

Joyce is currently in Texas, but once adopted, will be transported to the NJ area.

More about this rescue

Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-run, foster-based Rescue (no facility).

Our focus is to save the lives of dogs and puppies in high-kill shelters in the south and local owner surrenders.

Our mission is to place unwanted and in-danger animals in homes, regardless of age or breed. To educate the public and help stop animal cruelty and neglect.

We don't discriminate against potential adopters on any basis or for any reason. We approve potential adopters if they are and the animal they applied for is a good fit.

Extra Info.-
*If a dog is listed on Adopt a Pet, they are still available, and we accept applications. We approve applications on the best fit for both dog and family.
*We take our best guess on breed and size when fully grown.
* Our dogs are adopted from their foster home or straight from transport from kill shelters in the south.
*We always need foster homes so we can continue to save dogs. Don't hesitate to contact us if you are interested in fostering. Or fill out the foster application using this link - https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155
