Shasta is a one-year-old mixed breed whirlwind of love who's ready to bounce her way into your heart! ❤️ This energetic girl is still learning her manners and can be a bit jumpy and mouthy when she's excited, so a home with older kids or adults may be best. She's a smart cookie who would thrive with some positive reinforcement training to help her channel all that energy and become the best gal she can be. Shasta is currently getting some TLC from our animal health staff for some skin issues, but she's on the mend and ready to shine! ✨ She's got the cutest wiggle butt and loves snacks, so you'll have no problem making friends with this happy girl. 😊 If you're looking for an active companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with laughter, come meet Shasta today! 🥰

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

For In-Person Adoptions at the Shelter, visit during open hours. For pets in foster care, apply on that pet at www.multcopets.org

Meet the Pet

At the shelter, adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Adopters will not be able to submit applications to adopt animals in advance, or place adoption holds on animals.
For In-Person Adoptions at the Shelter, visit during open hours.
For pets in foster care, apply on that pet at www.multcopets.org

Adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.
We will be unable to assist with pet-to-pet meets. Please keep your furry friends at home, adoptable pets will not be able to meet resident pets at the shelter.
Prepare enough time for your visit. Adopters should expect that it may be up to two (2) hours at the shelter to process an adoption, including meeting pets, an adoption consultation, and waiting periods. Wait times may be significantly longer on weekends.

Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) is the only open door shelter in Portland. We are the primary agency responsible for lost pet care, animal abuse investigations and animal rescue in Multnomah County. We also offer dog and cat licensing, lost and found pet services, and animal adoptions through our shelter in Troutdale. MCAS is a division of the Multnomah County Department of Community Services (DCS).
