Our 'Black Magic Zeke' is an absolutely bewitching boy, both in looks and personality. When he arrived at his foster home, he hid his black magic self under the bed for a day or two...but later, with a twitch of his fluffy tail and a gleam in his eye, he dispelled that suggestion of shyness. With impressive powers (considering he's a declaw), he climbed up to the top of a 6 ft cat tower, purring invitingly.....and just like that, I was under his spell!!!
Zeke is a big boy, and has a very long and full coat. His mane is quite pronounced.. He is 5 years old, and still very kittenish....he likes playing with toys on his own, and with a human facilitator. He is both a kisser and a head-butter; he greets his foster mother with great gusto every time we are 'reunited' after a few hours. He loves giving and receiving affection; after a good session of cuddling, he wants to just lay on your lap or chest. He has an odd trait of waving his tail almost continuously, rather like the 'Felix cat clocks' with the shifting eyes and the dangling tail swishing back and forth!!!!
Zeke is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations; he has a clean bill of health! He had a single episode of bladder crystals last January, with no recurrence. As a precaution,he has been on Royal Canin SO kibble but most likely, can be gradually switched to a normal kibble as long as his health is monitored. He is being fostered near Huntington, WV; his foster mom can be reached at 740-646-2110. His adoption fee is $175 and the application can be found on our website www.mainecoonrescue.net.
