My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET HANDSOME BENJI! Benji is an almost 4-year-old Boxer-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. Benji is very much a couch potato dog in that he loves to lounge on the sofa or sleep on your bed. He's a huge snuggler! He also loves going for car rides!

He has done fine around other dogs, but would do well as an only dog, too, because he loves being the center of attention. He's very affectionate, and loves belly rubs. Benji is also an active, strong boy with a prey drive, so he needs a strong owner, and someone who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. A big, fenced yard would be a plus, but is not a necessity.

Overall he's a mellow, easygoing boy, who wants to share his life with you. He weighs about 60 lbs. Please email for an application.

More about this rescue

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that saves hundreds of dogs and cats annually. We are an all-breed rescue, and do not shy away from tough cases. We believe all animals deserve a chance at a happy life, and we do our best to match people with their new pets. Every time a dog is adopted, it makes room for another needy dog, most often in an overcrowded shelter.

We adopt dogs/cats to people on the West Coast but also to other states as well, as we believe that animal lovers are everywhere! Please consider adopting one of our wonderful dogs or cats.
