Atlas is an 80-pound bundle of love, and he’s just getting started on his journey to become the perfect companion! This sweet, gentle giant is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can continue to blossom.
- Kind and Calm: Atlas is house-trained, never destructive, and doesn’t engage in naughty behaviors like counter-surfing or jumping up.
- Great Manners: He walks nicely on a leash and takes treats with a gentle mouth.
- Quiet: Though he needs some coaxing to enter a crate, once inside, he’s calm and content, and not vocal.
-Loves His People: Atlas is a shy but he is warming to his foster environment, and his foster is positive that with consistent care he will bond quickly and completely to his new owner.
A Little About Atlas:
- Still Growing: At around 80 pounds, Atlas is a big guy and he’s not quite done growing yet!
-Timid, but Eager to Learn: Atlas is new to some parts of the world, so he can be nervous about things like tile floors, swinging dog doors, and car rides. But with a patient, kind person, he’ll slowly build confidence.
- May Need a Confident Buddy: Atlas would thrive in a home with another dog to help guide him and teach him the ropes of being a dog.
- While Atlas gets along with his foster's dogs, he has not been exposed to cats.
- Due to his size and gentle nature, Atlas would be better suited for a home without small children.
What Atlas Needs:
- A Patient, Loving Family: Atlas will thrive in an environment where he’s given time to adjust and gain confidence.
- Mental and Physical Stimulation: He may not have a yard, but he will need plenty of exercise and mental enrichment to keep him happy and healthy.
- A Forever Home: Atlas is a warm, goofy boy who will show you all the loyalty and love he has in return for your patience and care.
