My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty is a very friendly boy who is always happy! He walks with a bounce in his step and has a constant wagging tail! He loves people and always wants to be the center of attention! If you're looking for a little shadow and a lap dog, you've found your guy! Rusty won't leave your side! He enjoys being held like a baby and will fall asleep in your arms. If you stop petting him, he will paw at you for more! We would love to find him a family where someone is home often. He wouldn't enjoy being alone for long periods of time. He gets along with other animals but has no interested in playing with anyone else. He would honestly prefer to be the only pet so he doesn't have to share any of the affection but, if you have a quiet, independent dog, he would do fine! Rusty is only with us because his previous owner passed away. He was loved and we can tell! He is approx 6 to 7 years old and about 10lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. We haven't had him long, but he appears to be housebroken because he hasn't had any accidents in the house! He is also crate trained but would prefer to be free if possible. He loves car rides and going for walks, but must wear a harness because he will pull until the collar makes him cough! If you're interested in adopting Rusty, please submit an adoption application on our website at www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.org

Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Adoption Fees:
$400 for puppies (6mo or younger)
$350 for adult dogs
$250 for senior dogs (8+years)

$150 for kittens (6mo or younger)
$125 for adult cats
$100 for senior cats

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dominoeffectanimalrescue to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
