My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the sweetest boy around! His name is Milo and he is looking for his new forever home! Milo came to us via his owner when the family could no longer afford to care for him. Milo is sweet and affectionate. He is great with other dogs! He loves his foster mom and is all about snuggles!

Milo is crate trained and housetrained. He is presently wearing a belly band, as he is in new territory and is marking it. This is change in a few days. Milo is a papillon/corgi mix.

Milo is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention. He is also on monthly flea/tick prevention. He will be neutered and chipped this week. He will then be ready for his forever home!

Milo weighs 12#. If you want to welcome this sweet boy into your life, please go to our website and complete the adoption application.

His adoption fee is $600. This covers all vet care, while he is in our care, including his neuter and chip.

3.

Approve Application

Application approval will depend on references, veterinary information, and the meeting interactions between pets and people.

4.

Take the Pet Home

We allow up to 1 week trial with our pets to ensure they are a good fit.

5.

Home Check

During the trial, a home check will be made to ensure the pet is settling in and adjusting well.

Pay Fee

At the end of the trial period, the adoption fee is paid. A copy of all vet records is provided. The adoption is official.

Additional adoption info

Animal C.A.R.E. Foundation requires an adoption application to be completed prior to adoption. This application must be reviewed and approved by our foster care coordinator before a meet and greet can occur. Standard adoption fee is $175 for a dog, unless otherwise noted. Standard adoption fee for a cat is $80, unless otherwise noted. If the dog or cat is not compatible with
the adoptive family, the animal MUST be returned to our care. All dogs and cats must be kept primarily indoors, and we require a fenced in yard for dogs over 30lbs, or dogs that are labeled as a hunting breed.

Go meet their pets

All animals under our care are placed in foster homes. Meet and greets primarily occur at a fosters home, or a possible adopters home. A majority of our fosters are located in Lexington, NC and surrounding areas.

We frequent the Thrifty Finds Store supporting Animal Care Foundation in Winston-Salem, NC on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for most of our adoption events. Please come and shop our fabulous thrift store at 11141 Old US Hwy 52, suite #5 at the corner of Old US Hwy 52 and Hickory Tree Rd where all proceeds benefit animals in need. We are in the Midway Town shopping center and open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. 336-865-7854
