My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bernie (now Darrow) was adopted as a puppy and being returned 8 months later as owner is back in office full time with long commute and no longer has time to care for him. Original profile is below. He is currently 12 months and 30 lbs.

ORIGINAL PROFILE

Animal Profile: The Elemental Litter are adorable corgi/chihuahua mixes that were born New Years Eve. Their owners reached out to Dog Gone Seattle for help placing these puppies and several other dogs. We agreed to find them all wonderful homes, and are also spaying the females that are remaining in the home to avoid future accidental litters. Mom and Dad are both friendly, social low riders that were very sweet when we met them.

Foster notes: Darrow is settling in really well!  He loves to run around and play fetch with his squishy ball and small stuffy, but can also settle when it's time to chill and is a champion snuggler. He is timid when meeting new people and does take some time to warm up, but once he does he is all in with his people. He is crate trained and doing well with potty training when kept on a regular schedule. Darrow will do best with a family who wants him to be in their business full time. He wants to be lying on your body, in your lap, on your foot, respectfully licking your face (not crazy). He will benefit from training as he hasn’t had much in his young life, but is treat motivated and making progress. Darrow will make a great work from home buddy and possibly an office pup once he gains a bit more confidence. He truly is such a sweet dog! Darrow would do best in a single family dwellings with at least one other canine companion.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, health certificate, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.
