My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beatrice and Alexandra are a sweet bonded pair who were recently returned to the shelter through no fault of their own. Understandably, they were a little shy and scared at first, unsure of their new surroundings. But with time, patience, and lots of love, they've truly begun to blossom!

These two have come such a long way and are now showing their affectionate sides. Beatrice loves gentle head scratches and will purr up a storm once she feels safe, while Alexandra enjoys curling up in cozy spots and watching the world go by. Once they trust you, they’ll greet you with soft purrs and even ask for attention in the most endearing ways.

They’re looking for a loving home where they can continue to build their confidence and show just how wonderful they are. If you’re ready to welcome twice the love and companionship into your life, Beatrice and Alexandra would love to meet you!

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
