Meet Jaxon, the lovable 1.5-year-old Rat Terrier mix with a heart as big as his puppy eyes! After a few days of getting acquainted, this sweet boy is all about fun and adventure, whether he's playing fetch with the kids or running zoomies in the yard with his doggy friends. He’s a social butterfly, always eager to make new pals and share his tail-wagging joy with everyone he meets. Jaxon is also super smart—he’s housebroken and kennel trained, making him the perfect addition to any home. Whether it's cuddles on the couch or a game of chase, this sweet boy is sure to bring endless love and laughter into your life!

Additional adoption info

All of Dogs in our care are Spayed/Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm Tested, Vaccinated, and kept current on flea and heartworm preventative. Our adoption fee's are puppies under 6 months-$150, dogs over 6 months-$95, and purebred dogs vary. All of the Cats in our care are Spayed/Neutered, microchipped, Fiv/FeLV Tested, Vaccinated, and kept current on flea preventative. Our adoption fee's are kittens under 6 months-$70 and cats over 6 months-$50.

We do have an adoption application and do not do same day adoptions.

Go meet their pets

We are open Monday Thru Friday 10am-6pm and on Saturdays from 10am-2pm. We do recommend calling in advanced to make sure we will be open on weekends as we do attend offsite adoption events frequently! Call to make sure the dog you are interested is still at the shelter.

The Hill Country SPCA was chartered as a 501(c) (3) non profit organization in the state of Texas in October, 1997. We are a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter providing services to the Texas Hill Country. Our funding comes strictly from donations, grants, and fundraising events. We are not supported by tax dollars.
