Meet China! ??

China is a beautiful 1-year-old Terrier mix who is ready to find her happily ever after! Having lived with 2 other dogs, China is a super friendly girl with a ton of energy, often expressed through joyful zoomies around the yard!

She’s a sweetheart who takes treats gently and knows `sit,` even if she sometimes gets a little too excited to actually sit down! While she could use some leash manners, she’s not reactive to dogs walking by, making her a great companion for walks.

China absolutely loves toys and would thrive in an active home. Her playful spirit is matched by her gentle nature around cats—she pancaked to the ground when one growled at her and then refused to walk past that cat again. We think she’d do well with cats.

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
