Poor Kino was found by a dumpster in Texas. We don’t know how long he was on the streets, BUT we do know the street life was no life for him. He loves people and seems to have lived in a home at some point in his life. He is around 3 years old, about 55 pounds, and we assume a heeler type mix.
After he was found by the dumpster, he ended up at a high-kill shelter in Houston and was euthanasia listed for space before he came to MHCR. He was very sick when first rescued; he was underweight and battling an infection. After some TLC in his foster home and various medical screens and antibiotics, he is doing much better now and is ready to find his family!
Kino has done well with various other dogs, and he likes kids. He likes to play but is also low-maintenance in that he is crate trained, quiet, good on leash, and sleeps through the night. Pretty much perfect, right? Kino is a very smart, loving, and attentive dog who deserves the best from here on out. Please apply if you think there is space for him in your family!
Kino is in foster in Fort Collins, Colorado.
*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *
