Meet Noah, a young puppy full of life and energy. His curiosity knows no bounds, and his playful nature makes every day an adventure. He`s always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the park. This 16-pound pup has already learned the joys of running, toys, agility, chase, and wrestling. Despite his energetic personality, Noah is also incredibly sweet and cuddly. He loves nothing more than snuggling up after a long day of exploration. Noah`s easygoing nature makes him a joy to be around, but he is still a puppy and will need some training. Leash walking and house training are things he is looking forward to perfecting. His excitable spirit is ready to learn and grow with the right guidance. He has no experience with children or other dogs yet. This friendly pup is looking for a loving home where he can continue to blossom. Why should you adopt Noah? Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

A second dog or puppy, adopted within 30 days of the first adoption receives a $20 discount.
Dogs (over 15 lbs) $105

Special Discounts
Seniors for Seniors - Special Senior Citizen (60 yrs +) No charge for an animal 7 yrs or older.
Military Families - 50% of adoption fees waived for military personnel and veterans. (proof of eligibility required)
Any dog/puppy adopted at the same time as a cat/kitten will be adoptable at a $20 discount.

Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing, and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
