Meet Louetta, the sweetest puppy you could ever hope to know. Her heart is as tender as a lullaby, and her spirit as gentle as a summer breeze. Her world is filled with curiosity, exploring her surroundings with a clumsy grace while crawling on her belly instead of actually walking on a leash. It is both endearing and heartwarming. Louetta`s shyness might make her seem timid, but give her a moment, and her loving nature will shine through. She loves to give kisses. She weighs 33 pounds and can be a little insecure, needing reassurance that she`s safe and loved. She may whine a bit, but that`s just her way of asking for a little extra affection. Louetta`s mellow demeanor makes her the perfect companion for those seeking a calm, gentle pet. Despite her timid nature, she`s incredibly loving, always eager to share her affection with those around her. We haven`t seen her interact with children or other dogs and don`t know if she is house trained. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
