Hi there! My name is Checkered Tablecloth, but you can call me Checkers for short! I’m a spunky little tabby kitten with stripes as cool as a tiger’s, and I’m looking for my forever family. My brothers and sisters and I were found all alone, but some really nice humans rescued us and have been taking great care of me.
I love to play, especially with toys that make crinkly noises or things I can chase. Zoomies? Oh yeah, I’m the master of zoomies! When I’m not bouncing around, I’m an expert snuggler and will curl up in your lap to purr as loud as a tiny motor.
I’m super curious about the world and would love to have a family to share all my adventures with. I’m good with other cats, and I think I’d love kids too, especially if they like to play as much as I do.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
