TICKET NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Ticket       Best Guess for Breed:    Terrier and cattle dog mix 

Best Guess for Age:   5 months as of January 2025         SEX:  Male

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):   22 lbs as of 1/14/25

Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Ticket has met a cat and did well!

Currently Living at:   DC area boarding

Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. 

Ticket is Looking For:   His forever family! He's got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to have his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and exploring the world - he hasn't seen nearly enough of it and he's an active boy! He'd love to make pup pals along the way, to, and go to dog school so he can show how super smart he is! Quality kibble, cushy dog beds, peanut butter-filled Kongs - yes, please.

But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to know he's safe and loved for all his days. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and loyal, fun companionship. What do you say? Can you see him by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me: Ticket is very sweet. He was great in the car. He still has a lot of puppy energy and loves playtime. He is very food motivated so should be relatively easy to train.

What Volunteers Say About Me: I got to spend some great quality time with Ticket when I took him on a field trip from where he lives at boarding. :) Handsome Ticket is as sweet as they come! He has a gorgeous brindle coat, cute little white socks (with a random black toenail thrown in there for good measure), and earssssss for daaaays! He has a long snout and reminds of me a teeny little deer…and those puppy dog eyes! He is a total champ in the car - he either sits front-facing like a human, curls up for a nap, or sits on the center console and lays his head on your shoulder :) He is food motivated, already knows how to sit, and takes his treats very very gently. He is unfazed by the squeaker toys but loves a good plushie. He’ll play tug-of-war with you and sometimes take the toy back so he can roll around with it in his mouth. :) He has that normal puppy curiosity, wanting to check everything out, and once he’s ready for a nap, he curled up in the recliner next to me on his back while I worked (and he snored). He met my cat and showed no real interest in her - he was definitely more interested in stealing her food than chasing or wanting to know her. :) Ticket is the perfect size for any home and is such a sweet little love who deserves the best! 

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
