Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This sweet girl is looking for a patient and understanding family to call her own. Chika came to us from a southern rescue after being found as a stray. She spent the last year in a foster home down south, where she was kept as an outdoor dog alongside the foster's resident dogs. As a result, Chika is still adjusting to indoor life and will need extra time and support to become comfortable in a home environment. She can be fearful inside, especially with new sounds and unfamiliar spaces, but outside, she transforms into a playful, happy puppy who absolutely loves being outdoors!
Chika will need help with housetraining, learning basic manners, and getting comfortable inside. She does best with male-presenting individuals, as she had an excellent relationship with her male foster. Having another dog in the home would also be a huge confidence booster for Chika, helping her to feel more secure as she continues her journey toward being the best companion she can be.
If you're looking for a loving dog who just needs a little extra time and support to thrive in a home, Chika might be the perfect match for you. She’s ready to grow and blossom with the right person or family who can offer her the time, patience, and guidance she needs. Could that be you?
I am an All-Star dog! My adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and I will go home with my very own no pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get us off to a good start. To learn more about me or to schedule an appointment to meet me, email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you! I hope to meet you soon!
Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
