Storm is a beautiful, medium sized dog with so much love to give. She can be a little shy at first meeting, so give her some time to warm up to you. Because she is a bit nervous around sudden movements (or when people lean over her), we would recommend she go to a home with older kids, and an experienced dog owner, or someone who is willing to put a little work and training into helping her build her confidence. She is food motivated, which always makes training so much fun, and Storm has so much to offer her future adopter.

Fill out a Meet Your Match questionnaire, spend some time getting to know the pet you are considering taking home, and talk to an adoption counselor.
Each animal will leave the Center spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm (dogs) or FeLV/FIV (cats) tested, de-wormed, treated for fleas/ticks, given heartworm preventative if applicable and microchipped.

McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga, TN, first opened its doors to the city’s homeless pets in July 2008. A leader in animal welfare both locally and nationally, the nonprofit shelter’s mission is to enhance the lives of companion animals and people by encouraging a culture of responsibility and compassion. As an open admission facility, the Center provides animal services and care for any animal in the city of Chattanooga regardless of age, breed, health, and temperament. McKamey has a number of thriving programs to benefit companion animals and people including adoption, foster, rescue, trap-neuter-return for feral cats, and humane education.
