My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on to their new adopting families leaving in March 2025 to the East Coast. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Bella to our trip for the right home 💕
Meet Bella ❤️ She is a 2 year old, 7 pound toy poodle. Yes, she is full grown and at a healthy weight. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done along with extractions that were needed, had an overall physical exam with our vet which was great and has offically been cleared to find a home all her own 😊
She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom but is always accompanied due to the wildlife we have here. We have a set schedule and take her out every 3 hours or so, and if she needs to use the restroom she will, if not she will just run around the yard for a bit, then circle back and stay close to her person ❤️
She has been introduced to a crate, but has made it very clear that it's not a place of comfort for her so we have decided against it. She is great about sleeping on her dog bed in an enclosed area with a gate, but preferably would be in your room, on a dog bed aside yours, or in bed with you if you are okay with that!!
She is doing very good on leash, and is learning to enjoy her walks. They were new to her coming to us here, but is learning the joy they bring esp being able to venture out of the home with her favorite human by her side always tends to always softens the task ahead 😊
She is wonderful with all dogs, and cats alike. She is very sweet with all animals, and would be an amazing friend to any animals whose home she would be joining!
She is shy when she first meets anyone she doesn't know, but she is a total softy at heart and once she feels comfortable she will open up and be your absolute best friend ❤️❤️❤️❤️
She is not a barker; but will communicate when she doesn't like something (such as the crate 🙃.) She LOVES treats, maybe a little too much 😂 but after needing extractions during her dental cleaning we have had many discussions with her that treat time will now consist of veggies and fruit which she hasn't had a hard time adjusting to whatsoever!!!
She loves to be snuggled, and will be in your arms and lap any chance she is given. She will lay at your feet if your busy at your computer, or watching a movie. While she loves to be close, she will also happily lay on a dog bed near by napping or playing with a favorite toy if you are tending to other things around the home and will occasionally check on you to make sure you haven't steered to far away 😂
She is amazing on road trips, and loves to ride around town as well. She is really great with our groomer and enjoys her spa days. She has been a wonderful addition to our pack here; but is ready to find a home where she can be the princess she deserves to be ❤️
Her prior owner passed away, and had no one in her immediate family still alive (she never had children) so her caretaker at the end of her owners life contacted us to bring her in here with us so that she could find someone to love her again the way her owner would have wanted ❤️

Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of Bella’s adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/bella-1

Bella’s spay went great. She was in heat at time of spay, but came out of surgery perfect. (She was in great hands.) She needed a dental cleaning, and had extractions that were needed as well. I learned that dogs have a total of 42 teeth (I asked after learning about how many extractions she needed to have. She had 5 missing teeth to begin with, and needed 12 more removed. Which has left her with 25 teeth. Our vet is recommending yearly dental cleanings so that moving forward her remaining teeth stay in good health.)
She was vaccinated, microchipped, had an antibiotic shot given to aid in the healing of her in-heat spay and dental, and was given a clean bill of health through the exam she received. She is officially ready to find a home all her own ❤️
