My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dori, a sweet and shy 3-year-old female white terrier who's looking for her forever home! While she may be a little reserved at first, once she warms up to you, her loving and affectionate nature shines through. Dori is great with other dogs and loves being around kids, making her the perfect addition to a family looking for a playful, loyal companion. She may take a little time to settle in, but with the right family who can offer patience, love, and playtime, Dori will blossom into the sweet and devoted dog she's meant to be. She is even potty trained and if not home she will use a pee pad. If you're looking for a cuddly, well-behaved pup to join your home, Dori might just be the one for you!

Dori is hw positive and is going through slow-kill. She's been on the meds needed and had a proheart 6 shot. She needs to be re-tested in July or Aug of '25. Camo will pay for the test. If she is positive we will pay for another proheart 6 treatment.

Adoption fee is: $400

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
