Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Decatur, IL

Tinka is a very sweet and loving little lady. She came from a puppy mill and she is soaking in all the love and attention she can get!
Tinka follows foster mom wherever she goes and as soon as she sits down she is at her feet ready to get some love and attention. Tinka can be a little scared of sudden movement but she recovers quickly once she realizes it's not a threat. She has been around older children and enjoys the attention she gets from them also! She is good with other dogs and tries to play, but foster mom's dogs are older and not very playful, so Tinka gives up and settles for more attention from foster mom!
Tinka arrived in rescue with some hair loss, likely to being shaved down so many times. Her hair is a little thin and we are hoping with time and a good diet her coat will grow in and be fluffy.
Tinka likely has not had much experience with a leash, so a fenced in yard is preferred. If not, she will need to be walked with the martingale collar she will go home with and someone who is patient to teach her and go slow.
Tinka's adoption fee is $275. She is spayed, received a dental and current on vaccines and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES.
ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS.
WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT.

We are a licensed foster based rescue. We rescue mostly seniors and special need dogs as these are normally the first to be euthanized in shelters.
Our Mission:
To rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted dogs and find the best home for each dog in our care. Our belief is all healthy and treatable dogs, regardless of breed or age, have the right to life, happiness, and love.
