Rescued by her current owner, Aura has blossomed into a wonderful companion who is friendly with dogs, cats, and kids. Despite her young age, she’s already well-mannered and responds to commands like “sit,” even during mealtime. Aura has never shown aggression and has a kind and trusting nature, allowing her owner to handle her food with ease. She’s healthy, only needing occasional allergy medication, and has not yet been spayed. Unfortunately, due to area and apartment restrictions, her owner is heartbroken but determined to find Aura a new, loving home where she can thrive. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly dog who will make a loyal companion, Aura could be the perfect match. Let’s help Aura find the forever home she deserves! Additional adoption info

An approved application, vet reference, personal reference check and home visit are required to finalize an adoption. We suggest a $200 donation that helps offset some of our expenses such as feeding, boarding, training, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and miscellaneous veterinary costs.
Adoption fees are used to continue to help homeless animals in need!

We are a rescue that is dependent on volunteers as we do not have a physical building. We rent space at a kennel in Upperco, Md. If you would like to meet one of our dogs please contact us to make arrangements. Thanks!

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
