My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Romulus: Ready for a Fresh Start

Romulus is a spirited and energetic soul who’s eager for a second chance with a family that will love him unconditionally and stand by him through life’s ups and downs. This lively guy thrives on adventure and activity but has shown he’s ready to impress when it’s time to focus. He’s taken well to leash manners and is learning the basics like sitting on command—with a tasty treat as his well-deserved reward, of course!

Romulus is searching for a family who appreciates his enthusiasm for life and is committed to helping him grow into the best version of himself. If you’re ready to embark on a journey of loyalty, love, and a little bit of silliness, Romulus is waiting to meet you. Will you be his fresh start? His adoption fee is $52.00 that includes 2025 Holmes county license, microchip, vaccine, leash and collar!

More about this shelter

We are a county operated facility and agency. We receive our funding through dog license sales. We are responsible for picking up strays in our county. Many of these strays later go up for adoption and become our responsibility to rehome. We also take owner surrrenders and attempt to rehome them.
