My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Barney is a beautiful 3 year old German Shepherd dog.
He is loving and affectionate.
He loves to curl up on the couch next to you.
He loves his belly and chest to be rubbed.
He knows sit, heel, and shake so he has some training.
He rides in a car without any issue.
He is completely potty trained.
He is in good health and neutered.
He has not shown any bad habits, such as chewing on furniture, counter surfing, etc.
While working at the computer, he lies down beside the desk and chews on his bone all on his own.
He loves to walk (and jog) in the morning and evening.
He has been walking on a leash a couple times each day so he is used to the leash.
He enjoys running around our fenced yard and chasing tennis balls.

More about this rescue

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
