Belah is an adorable, sweet, and goofy pup! She’s potty-trained, crate-trained, and stays quiet while crated. She’s the best puppy and an absolute joy to be around.
This lovely girl is also working through a bit of extra support for her right front leg. Belah has a condition called carpal hyperextension, which causes her leg to bend more than it should. But don’t worry—she’s a trooper! With some special care, she’s getting stronger every day.
To help her out, Belah wears a soft splint on her leg during walks and playtime. Her foster family is ensuring she’s comfortable and supported, gradually increasing the time she wears the splint as she gets used to it. She’s also learning to avoid jumping off things or playing too rough to give her leg the proper time to heal.
Belah is doing great with her routine, but she’ll need a family that can help her continue her rehab progress—keeping her on leash outdoors and ensuring she doesn’t overdo it. She absolutely loves being around her people and is ready to find a home that will continue to give her the love and care she deserves.
If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, and strong pup who’s on her way to recovery and will be a loyal companion, Belah might just be the one for you!
Belah joined us from a shelter in Hibbing, MN. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
