Meet PINTO, a young and playful pup with a heart full of love!
Pinto may be a little shy initially, but once he feels comfortable, he’ll quickly become your favorite cuddle buddy and playtime pal. He loves his toys and is always up for a little fun. Pinto is housebroken and gets along well with small dogs, though we’re still learning how he does with larger ones. While he’s a bit nervous around young children, he has behaved well under supervision. This little guy is still learning the ropes, like responding to his name and practicing "sit" (especially when treats are involved!). He’s not a fan of the crate and may bark when confined, but he’s happily sleeping independently in the living room at night. Pinto also enjoys going for walks and is great on a leash—though you may have to keep an eye out for squirrels, as he loves to chase them! Pinto is looking for a loving home where he can continue to grow, feel safe, and show off all his playful charm.

We do not transport dogs. All dogs must be picked up from Northern VA in person by the adopter.

More about this rescue

Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
