Meet Bark Bacharach: Bark is estimated to be about a 2 year old (as of January 2025) chihuahua / lab or maybe pug mix (best guess) that weighs about 25 pounds. Bark was picked up by Animal Control in a northern Mississippi community a few months ago and taken to a shelter. Since Bark is on the smaller side and space was at a premium, Bark was put in a small kennel - he was not ok with his limited space and let the staff know he wanted out. Luckily we were about to get Bark into a foster home where he felt safe and within a couple of days he showed his true, happy, doggie self! Bark is currently still with that foster in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Today Bark is the most affectionate dog at the foster’s house---and it's a house full of rescues! Bark is the first to jump up into his foster's lap and snuggle up to a long binge of Netflix. Bark stands a little higher than a chihuahua and has a stockier build. Bark is a cute little pint sized pup. Bark seems to understand the house training concept and has been successful using a doggie door to go outside. Bark may need some patience while he adjusts to a new system. We would love for Bark to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. Bark is up to date on his shots and neutered. Bark was found to be positive for heart worms, but is in the final stages of his treatment and will be good to go! If you are interested in giving this unique little one a loving home, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.
