Smokie is a sweet, affectionate, and deeply loyal dog who loves cuddles, companionship, and daily walks. He’s housebroken, great at home alone, and always greets you with excited kisses. He enjoys car rides, playing tug-of-war with his favorite blanket, and relaxing by your side.

When I adopted him in 2020, I learned he had endured trauma from both humans and other dogs. A trainer helped me understand that he is a resource guarder, meaning he may react if he feels something valuable (food, toys) is being taken from him. He also gets defensive if he believes he’s in trouble.

Smokie’s Ideal Home:
✔ Experienced dog owner who understands reactive dogs
✔ No other pets—he thrives best as the only dog
✔ Calm, structured environment with daily walks
