Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bertie is a sweet, loyal girl who loves to cuddle and look out the front window. She always obeys commands, and loves to walk and run. Her previous human liked to run with her on trails without a leash, but running or walking also works well with a leash. She is extremely loyal and never strays far, and comes when called. It would be great if she could find a parent who could run or walk with her, since she has a lot of energy and some anxiety.
Until she was 3, Bertie was raised in a home with a 6 pound mini schnauzer sister. They never fought, but they did experience a lot of jealousy with one another, which made it difficult to parent both dogs. She'd do best alone or with a dog sibling of similar size.
We rehomed Bertie at the beginning of 2024 to her new mom, and she had her for a year, but then was deployed to military service. Bertie's network of care fell through after this, so she's back in her original home, and her mom agreed that it was best to rehome Bertie again.
