My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Quincey, the sweetest, smartest Shepherd mix pup with endless potential to become your dream dog! This bright and loving girl already knows her basic commands—sit, lay, stay, and shake—and is potty-trained and crate-friendly. While she’s currently working on feeling more secure when left alone, her progress shows she’s eager to learn and adapt.

Quincey recently discovered her love for cuddles and is as polite as can be—she won’t hop on the bed or couch without permission! She’s a playful spirit who adores toys, with her favorite routine being fetching her stuffed turtle every morning to kickstart the day. She loves chewing on bones, chasing balls (though she might quit the “fetch” game after a few throws), and lounging on the porch in her bed, happily watching the world go by.

In the home, Quincey is the perfect balance of energy and calm. After a good workout or play session, she’s content to curl up at your feet and relax. She’s wonderfully food-motivated and quick to pick up new tricks, though her recall still needs a bit of fine-tuning. Her adorable quirk? She’ll sing along when you play an instrument—a charming habit that helped her come out of her shell during her first month in foster care.

Quincey has shown she’s great with kids, having spent time with 1.5-year-old twins, sharing their food and toys like a pro. She’s seen cats from a distance and could likely learn to coexist with proper training.

When it comes to other dogs, Quincey is still building confidence. She tends to bark out of nervousness or excitement but has made great strides with positive reinforcement training. She’s successfully walked near other dogs at parks and beaches and even enjoyed an off-leash play session with a friend’s pup. She’d thrive with a playful, larger dog who shares her enthusiasm for fun!

Quincey’s ideal home would be with someone experienced with shepherds, ready to dedicate time to ongoing training and socialization. She’s a fantastic, loving girl with so much potential and just needs patience and guidance to truly shine. Could you be the one to help Quincey become the best version of herself? She’s ready to fill your life with joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love!
