My name is Mary!

Mary is a 2 year old female Lab mix, who will easily steal your heart! She has taken care of her pups while at the shelter, and is still living with 4 pups. All of them are available for adoption, and are ready to find their forever home.   Mary is a good medium size, since she is small for her breed. She shows a quiet leadership among her active pups, and will even do a perfect Sit to earn your affection. She is very well-behaved, and clearly a very tolerant and sweet-natured girl!  One thing to note is that Mary often seems a bit too interested in nearby cats, although we are still monitoring this. Mary recently stayed in a foster home during a cold spell, and her foster mom said she was great! Mary completely enjoyed running and playing with the 1.5 year old resident dog, while the 14 year old resident dog watched them. She quickly learned the joy of laying on soft blankets and was completely at ease resting with both of the foster’s dogs. Plus she also slept well at night inside a crate (with a soft blanket, of course!). Overall, Mary proved herself to be a wonderful companion fully ready for life in her forever home. Mary is so deserving of a loving home where she can be a cherished family member. Take this sweet girl home, and she will be forever grateful to you!

The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
