My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Sierra, I came here with my older puppies and am learning how to live life without them, I tell you, I’m enjoying the stress free life as I had to keep them safe from critters and cold in my former situation. I’m a really good momma, but done with that.

So many things to tell you, I am potty trained! I sleep in my crate without a peep and let my fosters sleep in! I’m pretty small, I come up to my foster’s knee. One of my puppies is just about as big a me. I really like being petted! The resident dog wants me to play with him, I’m just about ready to do just that! I also haven’t barked!!

So far I don’t get up on furniture, if you want me to continue that you better get me fast cuz my foster mom loves to have a snuggly pup and she tells me I can come up, I just haven’t yet. I’m still getting used to life inside a house, I know steps now and my fosters are amazed I haven’t had any accidents!

Do I walk well on leash? They don’t really know yet, it’s been really really cold so walks haven’t happened, it needs to get a bit warmer; they think I’ll do fine though. But you know what? I’m tough as I can handle going outside in this cold and I’m intrigued by the snow, I wish they had more!

Let’s meet and you can see just how beautiful and sweet I am! Sierra

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
