Whisper, the White HuskyWas that a whisper in the wind? No. It was Whisper, a stunningly gorgeous 6.5 year old F husky! She is white with a couple of brown patches on the top of her head, her sides & rump. She has baby blue eyes that rivet your attention. Her soft, floofy coat invites pets & hugs. Unlike a lot of huskies, she only smack talks after she is done eating (in her crate because she eats slowly, is a picky eater, & does not like to share food) & wants her post meal treat promptly . She takes a little while to warm up, but then likes to be close by her people. Whisper can do well as a single dog or with dog companions of any size. She is submissive. Attributes:Calm, loving demeanorGently playful with dogs of all sizesA dream on a leashBest with older children as sudden moves startle her. Quirks:Very picky eaterCannot remain standing when her rump is scritched!Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
