My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samsquanch (nick name Sammy) is an amazing cat! After surviving two years on the streets in Tower Grove, he willingly and happily accepted an invitation indoors and hasn't looked back. Sammy is a bit shy, but if you sit down anywhere near him, you'll have a cat in your lap within minutes that's that. He won't move until you do. He loves to have his cheeks scratched, his chinnychin rubbed, and his ears squeezed - he tells you with his high-pitched resonate trills, and with joyful little chirps that pepper his purrs. He also enjoys treats, belly rubs, and he sits patiently while his nails are trimmed. If he's not in a lap, he can usually be found napping on his heating pad. Sammy is full of love and has shown absolutely zero aggression, so don't let his time on the streets full you! He needs a lucky break, someone to know that black cats are good luck and not bad, someone to open their heart and home to him - is that person you? You won't regret falling in love with this snuggle bug! tenthlifecats.org/adopt

More about this rescue

Tenth Life's Mission:
Giving cats the lives they deserve.
At Tenth Life, we believe that every cat, regardless of emotional or physical limitations, deserves the chance at a fulfilling and happy life.
We provide veterinary care, foster homes, and adoptive placement to stray cats and kittens, prioritizing those with special needs. We work to end unnecessary euthanasia and cat homelessness through educational outreach, community programs, and collaborative partnerships.

Only when a trusted veterinarian determines that a cat is in a state of incurable suffering, does Tenth Life relieve them of their pain through gentle and humane euthanasia. This difficult and thoughtful decision is never made in response to a lack of space, negative behaviors, or because a cat's medical needs are challenging or expensive.
