My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner on December 18, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Rose, a charming adult guinea pig with a heart as sweet as her personality. She's a friendly little creature who adores socializing with humans and fellow guinea pigs alike. Rose's day is never complete without a hearty munch on her favorite hay. She's also quite the foodie, with a particular fondness for apple slices. Her sweet tooth is truly a sight to behold! But it's not just about food for Rose. She's also a curious explorer, always eager to discover new corners of her surroundings. The ideal home for Rose would be one filled with love, care, and plenty of hay and apple slices. By adopting Rose, you're not just getting a pet, you're gaining a loyal friend who will fill your life with joy and laughter. Don't miss the chance to make Rose a part of your family!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
