My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mya, a senior canine who is brimming with energy and wisdom. Her playful nature is infectious, and she can turn even the most mundane moments into a game. Whether it`s a simple fetch or a complex puzzle toy, Mya`s intelligence shines through. She`s not just smart, she`s also incredibly sweet. Her love is unconditional, and she shows it in the most heartwarming ways - a wagging tail, a gentle nudge, or just being there when you need a friend. Adopting Mya means inviting a bundle of joy and love into your life. She`s ready to create wonderful memories with her forever family, and all she needs is a chance. Give Mya the home she deserves and experience the purest form of love and companionship.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
