My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vega, named after the brightest star on the Northern hemisphere. Vega is a very active pup. She is a constant source of entertainment and loves toys that squeak. Seems to get along well with the others (canines) in the house. Though she is initially intimidated by the larger sizes which last about 10 seconds. Then the real Vega comes out. She exhumes confidence and playfulness. If you’re looking for a very active pup, she’s your girl. Vega is approximately 3 months of age. Brindle, big brown eyes and a left ear that’s a little floppy Did I mention she is adventurous? She’s just learning potty training and some good manners. She looking for a home that can continue showing her good manners. Her beginning wasn’t the greatest as she and her siblings spent 2 weeks in isolation due to Parvo. The stars truly aligned in their favor. They all made it through and have a clean bill of health We believe this litter to be Aussie mixes. Obviously there's at least one or two other breeds mixed in there. Vega is the cute little odd duck of the litter looking very different from her siblings. If you are looking for a new pup fitting her description this is your chance. Vega is available through Guardians of the Green Mile (www.gotgm.org) of Portage, IN. Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
