My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shay is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet! She’s house-trained, kennel-trained, and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. No chickens please. Shay loves being around people and gets so excited to see you—she’s full of energy and enjoys playing with her foster brother all day. But when the fun winds down, she’s the perfect snuggle bug and loves curling up with you for some quality downtime.

Shay is still working on her leash manners, so she’s looking for someone who can help her with a little training in that area. If you're looking for a fun-loving and affectionate companion, Shay might just be the perfect match for you!

Shay will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.

More about this rescue

Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving fosters homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.
