My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At 4 lbs and only a year old, little Pascal is making himself at home and his presence known here in the PNW. Our little man was found as a stray from the streets of L.A. and was in the shelter waiting to be saved! He is part of our first group of rescues to "clear the shelters" to make room for dogs of the L.A. fires that are seeking refuge while their families are displaced.

Pascal is settling in great at his foster home, and doing so well with the resident dogs and young kids already. A lot of fun attitude in this little package. Check out that smile! It looks like he has all the secrets!

Pascal is a tiny Chihuahua who likes to snuggle into his sweaters, be carried in a sling or sit on the sofa in a warm blanket with you.

Pascal is neutered and will receive his final vaccines as a part of his adoption donation. He will be 100% ready to go home with his forever family. Is it yours?

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Please submit an application to express your interest in a dog. We will do our best to respond quickly, please be patient

2.
Home Check

This will be a virtual review of your home and time to check references.

3.
Interview

You will have a phone interview to discuss your questions, information about the dog, and best dog for your exact situation.

4.
Approve Application

This will occur after the above steps and positive phone interview.

5.
Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be scheduled. If everything is as expected, we plan on the dog going home with you from this meeting.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

Must be completed at or prior to the meet and greet to result in an adoption.

7.
Pay Fee

Then take pet home and live happily ever after together!

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
