My name is Calypso!

Hi there, I’m Calypso, or that’s what my rescuers call me. In December 2024, a female human found me declawed on the streets. Not sure how long I was defending myself, without claws!, in the wilds of the Serengeti, but I’ve definitely appreciated the new indoor and safe environment. There are four humans in this facility, whom I find acceptable to provide me occasional pats and doze in their laps. However, the young male feline already residing in this home constantly wants to play with me. I want to cat nap and get a few pats during the day; I have no interest in playing with that buffoon and find him upsetting. I would be ok with other animals if they would just leave me alone.

My rescuer has me up to date on my vaccinations, had me microchipped, and verified that I’m spayed. I am approximately 7 years old, litter box trained, and would like to head to a home where I can just be a stereotypical cat.
