Zaxby is a sweet and gentle boy who is enjoying the comfort of a foster home where he is patiently waiting for his perfect match—a family or individual ready to give him the affection and care he deserves.
This lovable pup is the epitome of a companion dog. He adores cuddling on the couch, staying close to his people while they work, or simply relaxing by their side. Zaxby has a playful side too—he enjoys all his toys, happily entertaining himself with independent chewing or the occasional zoomies around the house. With an energy level of about 5 out of 10, Zaxby strikes a wonderful balance between playful bursts and laid-back cuddle time.
Zaxby is housebroken, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash, although he’s still learning not to pull in his excitement. His foster family has been helping him improve, and he’s already making great progress. He’s an intelligent pup who knows how to sit and is eager to learn more with consistent training and love. His foster family reports that he takes everything in stride, making him an easy and delightful addition to any home.
Zaxby is a fun-loving, affectionate pup who adores cuddling up with his foster family every night for TV time. He recently mastered several new tricks, including `sit,` `go to your crate,` `up,` `down,` `paw,` and `between` (going between your legs). He has a playful side, often zooming around the backyard like a racehorse or cracking everyone up by yawning mid-play when he opens his mouth too wide. Zaxby loves car rides and thoroughly enjoyed his pup cup treat at Bmore Licks. His sweet, silly personality shines through, making him a joy to have around!
Zaxby gets very excited when he sees other dogs on walks. His playful nature suggests he could do well with a tolerant, friendly dog sibling.
If you’re looking for a cuddly, playful, and well-mannered companion, Zaxby is your guy. His affectionate nature and loving demeanor are guaranteed to bring joy to any home. Zaxby is in a foster home, so if you’re interested in meeting him, please email dogfosters@barcs.org to be connected with his foster family. Let Zaxby show you just how special he is!
