My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact the Dog Team (dogcoordinator@graspinc.org) for more information about this pet.

DOB: 8/23/23

This is Miss Peaches, she is as sweet as a Georgia peach! She's a gorgeous 1.5 year old French bulldog who was a local surrender. She was surrendered with double ear infections a raging UTI, and allergies. All those issues have cleared up after antibiotics and multiple vet visits. She is getting healthier every day with the help of a good diet. Miss Peaches is a grade A cuddler and certified wiggle butt! She has never met a stranger, is dog friendly, and good with children, although it's best she lives in a home with older children (at minimum 10 years old) because she plays rough and likes to use her mouth... Sometimes hard!

She would love a fur sibling to wrestle and snuggle with although she'd likely be happy if her people spend a lot of time at home with her. Ideally her humans won't be away from home for long periods of time. She is still working on holding her bladder and needs to be let out very frequently. If you miss her queues, she will disappear into another room and pop a squat. It's a work in progress... But she's come so far! Don't be fooled, underneath that adorable peachy exterior is your typical Frenchie sass. She will push buttons and forget her manners at times. Peaches needs someone who will set clear boundaries and won't be a push over when she adorably tilts her head and stares into your soul. Inside of every Frenchie is a hidden demon, she is no exception.

Her adopter should be someone willing to potentially start all over with potty training. It took her 3 weeks for it to click at her foster home, but she does still have the occasional accident. New surroundings may require starting from square one. Her adopter needs to be financially prepared for any potential health issues. Although a quality diet should avoid frequent vet visits and prescription allergy meds. Her foster Mom will provide lifelong nutrition support.

Miss Peaches is so excited to find her forever home in the Rochester NY area (Peaches is being spayed in February)

Her adoption fee is $600.

More about this rescue

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
