Little man Herman is ready to find a forever home! We believe him to be a Shih Tzu mix weighing in around 15lbs. He was quite nervous when we rescued him, but has found comfort in his foster home with his furry friends to guide him. Herman stats -

🍔 Herman can be a bit of a insecure dude with new situations. He will need to supportive owner to help him explore things he has not experienced.
🍔 Herman has grown to love his foster siblings. Having him placed with another dog may be beneficial. He has not been around cats.
🍔 We think he’s a young guy between 1-2
🍔 Herman is enthusiastic, playful & quite food motivated. Perfect traits for training. His favorite pastimes include playing with stuffed toys, eating & following his foster mom around.
🍔 Kids 12 & up
🍔 Shih Tzu’s are known for their loveable, quirky personalities, but can also be stubborn, demanding & unwilling to cooperate at times. If you love the Shih traits you will love Herman!

Herman is neutered, microchipped and is current on all vaccines including Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella. He has also been heartworm & fecal tested.

Submit Application

Potential adopters can fill out an application on our website or email us their application. We confirm we received the application by email

2.
Interview

We select our top application and call to discuss the dog, their previous/current pets, and current lifestyle to ensure they're a good match

3.
Approve Application

We approve the application by completing a vet check on the applicants previous pets (within the last 5 years).

4.
Meet the Pet

Once we have completed the vet check, we set up a Meet & Greet

Pay Fee

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Anyone who applies to adopt must fill out an application. We will then review the application to determine if the applicant is a good fit. The next step would be a vet check to review the vaccine and medical history on any current dogs or ones that have passed. If that goes well we then schedule a meet and greet. An adoption contract follows that. Along with follow up phone calls after an adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a foster based rescue group of volunteers dedicated to helping the homeless animal population. We rescue, rehabilitate, & rehome dogs from shelters in our local counties. Our focus is primarily senior dogs and/or dogs with medical or behavioral issues.
