**Meet Bosco Saturday, January 25th from 10 to 1 at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.**
Bosco is a sweet 1-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix ready for his forever home! He weighs in at 17 pounds, so he’s the perfect compact size to accompany you on every adventure. In his foster home he has enjoyed the company of the resident pup, and would do great in a home with a doggie friend (he would do fine as a solo pup as well!).
Squeaky toys are his favorite, and he’ll happily romp around with a toy in mouth, or engage in a game of fetch. At the end of the day, he loves nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch and watch TV with his humans (and sometimes makes little noises when he hears a dog on TV! Haha)
Bosco sleeps quietly in his crate each night, and does well on leash. After only a week with his foster family, he is also perfecting his potty training! He is a little shy and takes a bit of time to warm up, but once he does, you’ll have a companion for life - he is well worth the wait!

Each of our animals has contact information in the description - either referencing the phone number of the foster volunteer who is fostering the animal or East County Animal Shelter contact information if a shelter animal.

We attempt to forward emails sent to contact@tvar.org to the foster though it is not necessarily before the animal is adopted. Also, volunteers who monitor this email do not know the animals whereas the fosters do!
If a dog or puppy is in foster with TVAR, please fill out an adoption application (available here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TVAR/Dog). We consider each application and pick the best one for the animal in question. In general, we do not do out of area adoptions. Kittens do not need applications completed - just contact the foster!
If an animal is at ECAS, they have their own adoption process. Please go to ECAS (they are open daily 11:30am to 5:30pm except holidays) to meet the animal and learn about ECAS's adoption process.
All TVAR animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, treated for worms and fleas, and microchipped. Felines are FIV/FeLV tested. Many of our pets also come with a "packed bag" that can include a variety of goodies like bedding, food, toys, leashes, and even private training sessions with our professional trainers. Adoption fees vary by species. Our fee range is $120-$350. The foster volunteer can provide specifics for the animals in their care.

Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) was founded in 1992 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area). We primarily place shelter animals in foster care of TVAR volunteers while trying to find them permanent homes. Although we do not have a facility of our own, we help over 1000 animals find forever homes yearly through the hard work and dedication of our East County Animal Shelter shelter volunteers who socialize shelter animals daily and assist the public in selecting a pet to adopt.
